Confusion, pathos, sacrifice and the mystery in love too are portrayed well and engage the audience for most of the time. As a whole Sanjay Jadhav manages to pull off this friendship film with ease. As various twists and turns in the plot finally sees true love prevail, what Duniyadari also shows is that friends are for life and they will be there with you through thick and thin. Shireen ( Sai Tamhankar) is a medical student, who Shreyas loves and Meenu ( Urmila Kanetkar) is another student in love with Shreyas. While the seeds of this friendship are blossoming beautifully, two beautiful girls enter their lives. This is where they realize that yaari is more important than duniyadari. Their Kata (a bench) near a tea stall is their Adda, and this is where they discuss life, love and scores to be settled.

However, one event sees them become the thickest of pals and they are part of a larger gang, which rules the campus. While Digya is a temperamental college rowdy, Shreyas is the well behaved, calm student. Digya, (Ankush Chaudhary) and Shreyas ( Swapnil Joshi) are as separate as chalk and cheese and quite naturally start off as enemies. Set against the backdrop of the late 70s, director Sanjay Jadhav introduces us to his lead characters in a Pune college campus. The story continues in flashback and present situations. After some years of their marriage, Shreyas dies due to his disease. While Shireen's marriage is going on, Shreyas and DSP's gang reach their and after a fight with Sainath, Shreyas and Shireen run away to get married. Meanwhile Shreyas tells Meenakshi that he loves Shireen and not her. Shreyas comes to know that Shireen's marriage is fixed with Sainath. Surekha gets married and DSP gets completely broken. Shreyas is suffering from somekind of Nasal disease. Their plan succeeds but Shreyas doesn't love Meenakshi, while Shreyas and Shireen are in love with each other. when Dsp and his gang sees Inamdar's daughter Meenakshi in the college, they plan to avenge Shreyas by making Meenakshi fall in love with Shreyas. When a guy tries to propose Surekha, DSP beats him and during this fight, Shreyas gets caught by Inspector Inamdar and gets slapped by him. Dsp is having an affair with Surekha who is studying in his college.

Meanwhile Shreyas sees Shireen a newcomer girl and falls in love with her at the first sight. There is also another gang leader Sainath who has rivlary with DSP. Shreyas Talwalkar gets admitted to a college where he meets DSP, a rookie guy in the college who is the leader of a gang, after sometime they become good friends.
